The Keystone Heights Innovation & Defense Campus team was pleased to welcome the Florida Defense Support Commission to Keystone Heights Airport on September 16.
The visit created an opportunity to present the vision for KHIDC in the place where that vision is taking shape: an airport-centered environment designed to connect defense innovation, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, testing, training, and commercialization.
A setting built for connection
During the visit, the team shared how the proposed campus could bring together industry, government, the military, universities, investors, and workforce partners around practical mission requirements.
Keystone Heights Airport's location near Camp Blanding Joint Training Center offers a distinctive foundation for that work. The KHIDC vision is intended to build on the region's existing defense ecosystem while creating new pathways for technology development and economic opportunity in Northeast Florida.
